On September 7, at the Bayer China Week press conference, Bayer Group announced its Chinese partner, Shanghai Huayi Group, to foreign and domestic media. Huayi ranks No.1 in China's chemical materials and products manufacturing business. Bayer (Shanghai) Polymers Company Limited is reportedly the only joint venture in Bayer's integrated base in Shanghai, forged jointly with Shanghai Chlor-Alkali Chemical Company in the Huayi family.
